She Forgot

Acoustic indie pop

Sarah Isabel was raised in a small town along the river. After graduating high school she moved to Amsterdam to pursue her dreams. She has been writing and making music for years and could not wait to release her very own music. Now the moment is finally here. Big inspirations of Sarah are Kate Bush, Birdy and Katie Melua.

Her debut single ‘She Forgot’ is based on the fairytale ‘The Little Match Girl’ by Danish author Hans Christian Andersen. Ever since Sarah was a little girl she was obsessed with fairytales and before bedtime her parents would read a story from this huge fairytale book. The song is about alcohol abuse and the relationship between a father and a daughter. A young girl is trying to escape and break free from her miserable home and upbringing. It has a mysterious, nostalgic and gloomy feel.
